What Are Aluminium Profiles in Kitchens and Wardrobes?
Aluminium profiles are extruded aluminium sections used to frame, finish or open cabinet and wardrobe doors. Depending on the section, a profile can frame a glass or mirror panel, act as a built-in handle on the edge of a shutter, or form a recessed finger channel (gola) so that a cabinet needs no handle at all.

How to Choose an Aluminium Profile
Start with the door, then the opening, then the finish.
1. Glass or board?
Glass and mirror doors need a frame profile. Board shutters take an edge handle or a gola. See shutter profiles for glass.
2. Can the carcass change?
Gola profiles fix into the carcass, so they are decided before the boards are cut. Edge handle profiles fit on the shutter, so they suit existing carcasses and quick changes.
3. How deep a grip?
A slim G-section or 2AL gives a quiet line; a Eureka J or 3AL gives a deeper grip for wide drawers and tall doors.
4. What size and weight?
Check recommended shutter sizes and glass weight on the glass weight guide, then confirm hinges.
5. Which finish?
